ReplyDeleteYou have thought of some great things to take on the Tongariro Crossing. Checking the weather and volcanic activity is a great idea. They can both change very quickly so it is a good idea that hikers know if it is safe to go and what kind of environment they are walking into.
If you had the chance to complete the Tongariro Crossing, would you? I have walked part of it because I have climbed Mt Ngauruhoe. I would to go back and complete the full Tongariro Crossing!
