My name's Ruby and I'm one of the people who will be blogging with you this summer as part of the Summer Learning Journey. It's great to see you have been tracking so well with your activities so far!
What a cool waiata you have chosen! I think it's a good one too. How does it remind you of school, I wonder? Perhaps you sing it a lot there.
Can you tell me something about what the song means? Perhaps you could do some research about this and let me know. It would be great to know what the lyrics are saying!
I look forward to reading more of your blog over summer. Cheers, Ruby.

Hi Ruby.
ReplyDeleteThank you for your comment. Yes it reminds me of school because of the singing. I love songs with lots of actions!
I think its about a journey of a small fantail trying to make its way in our new world.
Hi Leah,
DeleteThat's awesome that you sing this at school! Songs with actions are lots of fun. Do you use Poi when you sing it at school?
Have a look at this website and see if you can figure out what it's about: http://folksong.org.nz/poi_e/
Cheers,
Ruby.
